The Bay Cottage
The Bay Cottage offers lovely self catering accommodation for up to 6 people in Ambleside. It is situated right in the heart of The Lake District National Park and only a few metres from the shores of Lake Windermere and Ambleside Pier. The setting is really magnificent and the cottage is perfect for a holiday at any time of year. From the back door you could walk the 100 metres to Lake Windermere and not even have to cross a road to get there.
The Bay Cottage can be seen in the main photograph above and in the two photographs below. It is in the middle of the row of eight terraced cottages. The cottage is very traditional with the front door sheltered by a porch. Inside it is characterful and attractively and comfortably furnished.
The surrounding countryside, the Lake and the Langdale Pikes can be seen in the photographs and the whole area is a walker's paradise. The head of the lake at Ambleside is known as 'Waterhead' and this is what can be seen in the images. The Bay Cottage is in an prime location for enjoying the Lake Cruises which can take you the length of beautiful Lake Windermere. It is simply in a perfect position for just messing about on the water.
Stylish bars by the Lake shore are only a very short stroll away and will provide tempting reasons to dine out in the evening. Waterhead also has restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops, cruises, cycle and boat hire whilst the very centre of Ambleside with all its hustle and bustle is only 15 minute's walk.
